Erik Christensen, Founder of Solutions Mobility, has joined Arpin Group as a consultant specializing in modern global workforce operations and technology within the relocation and global mobility space.
Christensen, currently based in and originally from California, brings a wealth of industry experience to Arpin and is exceptional in his talent and experience. In his new consult role, he will assist with international growth of operations and customer service centers, improve flexibility in the company’s ability to manage moves, and advise on steps Arpin can take to add significant improvements in its overall use of technology, including the development of a customer-friendly app.
“I am so happy to announce that we have added this highly-respected industry leader to the Arpin team,” said Peter Arpin, Executive Vice President, Arpin Group, Inc. “In addition to bringing great contacts and networks to our organization, Erik aspires to uphold and enhance Arpin’s culture and mission around the highest integrity and servant leadership to those inside and outside of our company. We relish the chance to bring even more talent and creativity to this incredible Arpin team and we are grateful for his willingness to join us on our journey.”
Over the last 13+ years, Christensen has built and led agile, cross-cultural, customer-centric teams across several high-growth companies including Moveline, Crater/Shyft, and Virtual Moving Technologies, heavily impacting the industry’s adoption of virtual sales, customer service, and business operations’ tools across private, corporate, and government sectors.
Christensen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College in Media Studies. He continually applies this educational background in new media to improve upon how information is captured, shared, and utilized throughout the full spectrum of a move to achieve the optimum outcome for all parties involved. He began his career in relocation at age 25 as an over-the-road driver for Wheaton Worldwide, earning their Driver of the Year Award in 2008. Five years as a driver were followed by a year as an outside sales representative for Wheaton in NYC, USA. Christensen also played a crucial role in the early development of accurate virtual survey technology and its acceptance within the domestic US market while at Moveline. As a co-founder of Crater/Shyft, he advanced the use of this technology into the international market. While at Crater/Shyft, Christensen expanded the company from the initial founding team to encompass a staff of nearly 250 people spanning three continents. He also designed and managed the development of several core products within Shyft’s current corporate lump-sum relocation offering. These include an auction platform for the distribution of household goods and automobile shipments, an omni-channel communication switchboard, and an asset tracking system.
Christensen is a member of the FIDI Global Alliance, International Association of Movers, British Association of Removers, American Moving and Storage Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
